The Office of Vital Statistics and Registry maintains a uniform system of registration and manages all vital records of the following events that occurred in the state-

The New Jersey Center for Health Statistics maintains all vital health statistics of the state with the help of other state and local agencies. It is a part of New Jersey's Office of Policy and Strategic Planning in the state Department of Health (NJDOH). CHS helps improve the public health investigation throughout the state and also support the NJDOH in health research.
